Marmot Day 2016—Monday, July 25 at Covenant Eyes Global Headquarters
In 2015 we combined Marmot Day with a Habitat for Humanity community project in which two dozen Covenant Eyes employees participated. After the community project we celebrated Marmot Day in its original location: Nehemiah Ministries. It was a hot day, and long, especially for employees who volunteered their time to the community project.
Despite the heat, Marmot Day 2015 was a fabulous time for employees to gather, share marmot jokes and a nice lunch, play games, and of course, take in Mr. Marmot’s annual deliberation on the final day of summer.
Our summer did not end at Marmot Day last year. Mr. Marmot did not retreat to his hole in the ground. He sped off into the distance and summer continued for another six weeks. But how long will summer remain with us in 2016? Will Mr. Marmot drive into his hole and put an end to the summer heat, or will summer remain for another six weeks? Only Cé Marmót (Mr. Marmot is from France) knows for certain.
A Family Day
Whether summer ends on July 25 or not. Marmot Day is always a great time for employees to gather with their families, an opportunity to meet and get acquainted with new employees, and the perfect time to celebrate our accomplishments together.
